Human Carpal Bone

This is a human carpal bone (wrist bone). It was sourced from a retired medical teaching skeleton and is legal to own, buy or sell in Canada.

In my bone reading set, this piece represents the self or the querent (the person who is asking the question or making the inquiry). This is the most important bone in the reading as every other piece is read based on where they land in relation to it. During a reading, the querent piece is placed in the centre of the reading cloth and the other pieces are thrown around it.

I’ve been casting bones for over a decade and collecting bones and other natural history items for the past thirty years. My own bone reading set consists of over forty pieces which I will write about here.
